STEINAR LAUMANN

 

 

Steinar Laumann is an artist, carpenter and mountain guide who grew up in Skedsmokorset, 20 km north of Oslo. He has a bachelor and master of fine art from Oslo Academy of the arts. In his work he is usually operating in the field between nature and culture. Laumann can display an range of different works, spanning from 3D pieces, to performances and multimedia work and books. He can find inspiration from old historical crafts and professions; like animal herders or wood carving. But also from his profession as a mountain guide, and general love of being outdoors in nature.
