Ruth Unger, born in Berlin in 1990, studied sculpture with Prof.
Carl Emanuel Wolff at the Dresden University of Fine Arts from
2011 and graduated as a master student in 2021. During her years
of study, she developed a lively visual language that oscillates
between constricting conformity and energetic outburst. Unger
lives and works in Leipzig since 2019. As co-founder of the SHOWER
gallery she defines a diverse and open cultural local urban
landscape.

Ruth is in 2024 funded by Kulturstiftung Sachsen to come to Lavangsnes Wunderkammer and realize her project "One Swallow does not make a summer" in the sculpture park.
