HARVEST RESIDENCY AUTUMN 2025 - Katharina Wilhelm
We are looking forward to welcome our next resident at Lavangsnes Wunderkammer. This autumn we will cooperate with ceramic artist and painter Katharina Wilhelm in the HARVEST project.
Katharina will join our ongoing projects in the intersection between art and agriculture, accompany the autumn activities at Lavangsnes Wunderkammer, which will be used as a practical and theoretical starting point for her individual shaping work.
Together we will experiment with methods for artistic and interdisciplinary approach.
Katharina Wilhelm's artistic practice is deeply rooted in the exploration of landscapes and their transformation through perception. The combination of outdoor painntings, studio based paintings and ceramic work allows for multiple layers of engagement with landscape—both immediate and reflective, transient and enduring. This practice works within defined constraints to allow structures, rhythms, and material responses to emerge.
Born in 1999 near Ulm, Germany, Wilhelm started studying Art in 2019 at the University of Fine Art Dresden, from 2020 in the sculptor class of Carl Emanuel Wolff. After a semester at the Glasgow School of Art in 2024 with a scholarship of the German Academic Exchange service, she is now enrolled in the painting class of Christian Macketanz.
Thanks to Kulturdirektoratet for making this cooperation it possible.
